Update: Investigation continues after ‘serious’ crash

The Chatham-Kent Police Service have released more information about the crash on Kimball Road in Wallaceburg from yesterday.

The stretch of road on Kimball between Langstaff Line and Margaret Ave. was re-opened last night around 9 p.m.

Here is the update:

At 2:18 p.m. on December 20, 2014 police attended Kimball Road near Wallaceburg in response to a serious collision involving a single motor vehicle.

A blue Volkswagen Golf was travelling southbound on Kimball Road when it crossed over beyond the oncoming lane of traffic and struck a bridge railing abutment head-on.

There were four occupants inside the vehicle.

The driver, a 56-year-old man from Wallaceburg suffered critical injuries and was transported to a hospital in Windsor.

Two 12-year-old male youths also suffered critical injuries and were transported to a hospital in London.

A 15-year-old male youth suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a hospital in Chatham.

The Traffic Management Unit is investigating this collision.
