Rollover crash near Dresden leads to impaired charges

At approximately 2:00 a.m. this morning, Chatham-Kent Police, along with CK Fire Department and EMS, attended the area of Cedar Hedge Line near Baseline Road, in Chatham-Township.

A motor vehicle was found on its roof top in a nearby ditch. Three occupants in the vehicle had to be extricated, fortunately no one suffered any serious injuries.

Through investigation, police believed the driver was operating the motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

He was subsequently arrested and transported to police headquarters for further breath tests which revealed that the man’s blood alcohol concentration was double the legal limit.

A 20-year-old Kent Bridge man has been charged with Impaired Driving and having a blood alcohol concentration Exceeding the Legal Limit.

He has been released pending a future court date of January 7, 2015.
