Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith picked an assist for the Boston Bruins in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on New Year’s Eve.
Griffith assisted on David Krejci’s goal at the 15:28 mark of the second period, inching the Bruins closer making the score 3-2 for Toronto.
After the Bruins tied the game up later on in the second period, and after a scoreless third and overtime, the game went to a shootout.
Griffith was the fourth shooter for the Bruins, but his attempt was unsuccessful.
Griffith’s former teammate with the London Knights, Nazem Kadri ended up scoring the shootout winner for the Leafs.
Griffith will hope to extend his two-game point streak on Saturday when they host the Ottawa Senators.
