OSPCA Kent Branch – Bernadette needs your help!

1844640962.customThis sweet 8 year old Cocker Spaniel is one of the older dogs looking for a forever home at the Ontario SPCA Kent County Branch. She’s a lovable girl who gets along well with everyone she meets, both human and animal. She’s very gentle and would make a wonderful therapy dog.

The Ontario SPCA Kent County Branch is launching a fundraising campaign to offset the cost of much-needed surgery for Bernadette. She is approximately 8-10 years old and recently had surgery to repair a luxating patella, otherwise known as floating kneecap. During her last exam, the veterinarian also found her cruciate ligament had been completely torn and needed to be repaired.

The generous staff at Blenheim Veterinary Hospital performed the surgery at a reduced rate, but the final bill still came in at over $1200. “Bernadette is such a sweet soul,” says Robyn Brady, Community Relations Coordinator. “The surgery has alleviated her pain, and will allow her to enjoy a more physically active, long, and happy life.“

The Ontario SPCA Kent County Branch is looking to the public to help Bernadette on her road to recovery, and get her one step closer to finding a loving forever home that she so greatly deserves.
