Antonio “Tony” De Sousa of Wallaceburg died peacefully in Chatham on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the age of 81.
Tony is the son of Joaquim & Maria (Araujo) De Sousa.
Beloved husband of Ana Araujo Da Mota Sousa.
Loving father of Joseph (Effie) of Toronto and Armando (Agnes) of Oakville.
Dear grandfather of Adam, Olivia, Anthony, Angela and Alexa.
Brother of the late José and Agostinho De Sousa.
Born in Vila Verde, Braga, Portugal in 1933.
He emigrated to Brazil at a young age and then to Wallaceburg in 1971, working at Benn Iron Foundry and then Eaton Yale, retiring in 1999.
Tony was also a faithful and involved member of his Church.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-4 PM on Sunday.
The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians Church on Monday, January 12 at 11 AM.
Burial at noon on Tuesday at Glen Oaks Cemetery in Oakville.
