Power has been restored on Walpole Island.
A power outage effected parts of Walpole Island, after a tree knocked out some power lines last night.
Hydro One officials said 124 customers were effected in the areas of River Road South, Creek Road South, Altiman Road, and Squirrel Island.
With the cold temperatures forecast for last night (minus 27 wind chill,) an emergency warming centre was setup at the Walpole Island Sports Complex.
“The power is back on,” Walpole Island First Nation Council said on Facebook. “Miigwech to everyone who came out to lend a hand in the community and at the emergency warming centre.”
