Another winter blast in expected

ice cold winter snow

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Chatham-Kent, as 5 to 10 cm snow is expected on Sunday.

A developing winter storm system over Central Plains States is moving eastwards and expected to affect Southwestern Ontario by Sunday morning.

In general, 5 to 10 cm of snowfall in total are possible for areas from Sarnia and Windsor eastwards to London and Elgin by Sunday night and areas from Woodstock and Simcoe to Hamilton and Niagara by Monday morning.

There remains some uncertainty in the track of this storm.

Snow accumulation could be higher if it tracks further north. In addition, gusty northeast winds would result in local blowing snow and reduce visibility.

We’ll provide more information as it becomes available.
