The Lakeshore Canadiens have jumped out to a 2-0 series lead over the Dresden Kings in their opening round series in the Great Lakes Junior ‘C’ Hockey League.
The Kings tried to make a game of it in the third period, but it was the Canadiens hanging on to a 6-4 win.
Derek Daly scored a pair for Dresden, while Derek Shaw and Will Tetzlaff also scored for the Kings.
Game 3 is set to take place on Tuesday in Belle River.
