
The Dresden Kings appear to have grabbed the momentum in their opening round series against Lakeshore in the Great Lakes Junior ‘C’ Hockey League.
Despite being down 5-1 entering the third period, the Kings stormed back with four goals in the third period to send the game to overtime.
Then at the 12:44 mark of OT, Wallaceburg’s Jordan Durston, the newest member of the Kings, scored a powerplay goal to complete the miraculous comeback.
Derek Daly scored a pair, while Jim McKinlay, Dillon Liberty and Derek Shaw scored the other goals for the Kings.
Scott Tricker picked up the win in relief of Daniel Tonietto, making 20 saves.
Lakeshore leads the series 2-1.
Game 4 goes tonight in Dresden.
Puck drop is scheduled for 8 p.m.
