The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) remains on scene of an eleven vehicle collision, on Highway 402 westbound lanes just east of Nauvoo Road. The collision took place February 12, 2015 just after 1:00 p.m. The collision resulted in the attendance of air ambulance, and firefighters as well to help deal with the situation.

Lambton OPP officers are being assisted by OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators and OPP expects the west bound lanes of the 402 Highway to be closed for a considerable amount of time. Early reports are that four persons with undetermined injuries were transported out of the area and subsequently about 100 vehicles in behind the collision had to be re-routed.

Lambton OPP officers are not going to be towing any vehicles out of ditches or off of the 402 Highway until absolutely safe to do so. The motoring public is once again asked to remain away from the area so that OPP officers and the towing companies can get their work done safely.
