Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a single snowmobile fatality that took place on February 13, 2015 around 1:00 a.m.
Brooke-Alvinston Fire Service and Lambton Emergency Medical Service (EMS) also attended the scene of the collision which had been just off of a snowmobile trail.
The operator of the snowmobile, a 42 year old male from Brooke-Alvinston was pronounced dead at that scene.
As a result of the collision, the operator was ejected and subsequently the snowmobile caught fire.
The investigation is still in the early stages and no further information will be released until after a scheduled post mortem.
