
The Dresden Kings just refuse to quit.
Facing elimination in Game 6 on home ice against Lakeshore, the Kings tied up their best-of-seven Great Lakes Junior ‘C’ Hockey League series with a huge 3-2 win.
The Canadiens jumped out of the gate early, with a goal just 1:29 into the game.
However, the Kings rallied back the tie the game with a goal from Ross Krieger at the 14:32 mark of the first.
Lakeshore grabbed the lead with the only goal in the second period, making it 2-1.
The third period was a different story, as Will Tetzlaff scored the game-tying goal at the 10:26 mark.
And Wade Esselment provided the heroics with the game-winner at the 11:12 mark.
Daniel Tonietto was on fire between the pipes making 32 saves in the victory.
The decisive Game 7 goes tonight in Lakeshore.
Puck drops at 8 p.m.
