Some Wallaceburg residents wanted to warn the community to make sure everyone locks their vehicles at night.
An unlocked truck parked in the driveway at Dauw and Elgin was rummaged through and some loose change was stolen.
The homeowners believe the theft occurred sometime before 5:45 a.m., as fresh footprints were spotted in the snow.
It appears that the thief attempted to enter their car also parked in the driveway, but it was locked.
The homeowners planned to contact the police today.
