Update: The freezing rain warning in C-K has ended.
Original story: Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning this morning for Chatham-Kent.
A low pressure area approaching Chicago this morning is forecast to head into northeastern Ontario this afternoon.
Some areas of freezing rain will cross southwestern Ontario early this morning reaching regions around Georgian Bay a little later this morning.
The freezing rain will likely persist for a couple of hours before changing to rain.
This is not expected to be a significant event, but will be enough to glaze untreated roads with a thin coating of ice.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
Freezing Rain Warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
