Walpole Island Elementary School has received some Trillium funding.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation announced this week that $178,700 will be provided to the school over three years.
The funds will be used to provide counselling and mentoring services to First Nations students and their families in the community.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) is an agency of the Government of Ontario, and Canada’s largest granting foundation. Over $110 million is awarded annually to some 1,300 nonprofit and charitable organizations across the province.
