Chatham-Kent falls short in Hockeyville contest

Chatham-Kent has fallen short in the Kraft Hockeyville contest.

North Saanich, B.C. was victorious in the final vote.

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman made the announcement LIVE on Hockey Night in Canada on Saturday night.

North Saanich had 62 per cent of the vote, while Chatham-Kent had 38 per cent.

With the win, North Saanich will now host an NHL pre-season contest.

Both communities will receive $100,000 to upgrade their arena.
