The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is taking the opportunity to acknowledge the achievements of local seniors with the 29th Annual Senior Achievement Award.

The purpose of this award is to recognize and honour outstanding seniors. To qualify, the nominee must be a resident of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, be 60 years of age or older, and have achieved significant goals and made an outstanding contribution to the citizens of Chatham-Kent during their retirement years, without any purpose of personal gain.

Chatham-Kent Mayor Randy Hope endorses an impartial selection committee that selects the name of the top nominee submitted.

Nomination Forms are available at various locations throughout Chatham-Kent. Deadline for receipt of Nomination Forms is Friday, May 15.

Presentation of the awards will take place at a special ceremony commencing at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 19 by Mayor Hope, during the Chatham-Kent Senior Expo at the Blenheim Recreation Centre (Arena).
