Dresden man charged with impaired driving

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man for impaired driving in Thamesville.

Around 11:45 p.m. last night, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Jane Road.

The man lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and struck a fence.

Through investigation, police believed the man was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and he was taken into custody.

The man was transported to police headquarters for breath tests.

A 19-year-old Dresden man has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

He was released pending a future court date of April 24, 2015.
