Chatham man arrested after throwing cinder block at woman

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man after a cinder block was thrown at a woman during a disturbance on Campbell Street.

Police were dispatched to the Campbell Street address at approximately 2:58 a.m. on August 26 regarding a disturbance. A woman had attended the property to pick someone up, and investigation revealed that as she approached the residence, a man threw a cinder block in her direction. The woman was not physically injured.

A 36-year-old Chatham man was arrested for assault with a weapon. Both individuals were transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, and the man was released on a Form 10 with a court date of November 23.
