Mrs. Yvonne Yonkheym, a longtime resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Sydenham Residence, Wallaceburg at the age of 92 years.
She was born in Belgium and was a daughter of the late Marcel and Marie (Platjouw) Vandevenne.
Beloved wife of the late Peter Yonkheym (2003).Loving mother and mother-in-law of Terry & Nancy Yonkheym, Ron & Susanna Yonkheym and Margo and Marc Jacques.Dear grandmother of Rev. Janet, Tim, Megan, Pat, Ryan and Lindsay. Great grandmother of Tea, Mackenzie, Caleb, Kyler, Taylor, Georgia and Aubrey.Kind sister and sister-in-law of Deanna & Fred DeBruyne and Emma Vandevenne.Predeceased by her sisters Anne (Charles) Benn, Rose (Joe) Verschoore and her brother Omer Vandevenne.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, May 11, 2015 from Holy Family Church, Wallaceburg, at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Chris Gillespie, Celebrant.Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society may be left at the funeral home. As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in Memory of Yvonne Yonkheym.
