With the conclusion of the 45-day pilot project in Wallaceburg, Progressive Waste Solutions is letting local residents keep their large, blue garbage toters free of charge.
Reports says the company contracted out for garbage collection in Chatham-Kent have changed their mind, and will not be billing people for the bins.
The original plan was to charge residents $75 to keep the bins.
Anyone who has already purchased the bin will be reimbursed, reports say.
