Wallaceburg man arrested after curfew stop leads to drug charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 21-year-old Wallaceburg man is facing multiple charges after police stopped him on Reaume Avenue in the early hours of Monday morning.

Chatham-Kent police say officers stopped the man at approximately 2:14 a.m. on August 25, 2026. At the time, he was subject to conditions requiring him to remain in his residence between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

He was arrested for fail to comply with release order.

During the arrest, officers located two substances. As a result, the man was also charged with possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl) and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
