The Wallaceburg Tartans girls soccer team finished off their OFSAA experience on Friday, however they came up just shy of qualifying for the playoff round.
The Tartans ended the tournament with a 2-1-1 record.
On Friday the Tartans tied 0-0 with Sault Ste. Marie St. Mary’s in the early game.
On Friday afternoon, Wallaceburg won 2-0 over Mississauga St. Paul.
However, they needed to win by a four-goal margin to advance.
Victoria Baertsoen and Madison deBakker scored for the Tartans.
Liz VanderVeeken posted three shutouts in four games overall.
The championship game in the OFSAA ‘AA’ tournament is being held this afternoon at WDSS.
