Leola Mae Laprise of Petrolia and formerly of Wallaceburg, died peacefully at Fiddick’s Nursing Home on Saturday, June 06, 2015 at the age of 80.
Leola is the daughter of the late Meddie & Josephine Marie (Mulholland) Laprise. Beloved wife of the late Marcel Punnewaert (1988). Loving mother of Josephine DeRooy (Winston Leach) of Petrolia and the late Janice Lynn (1957). Dear grandmother of Jodie & Steve (Vanderbeld), Shannon & Mike (Fletcher), Lesley & Corey (Wildfong) and Bill DeRooy of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Great grandmother of Emma Fletcher, Ben & Ashlie Vanderbeld, Aiden & Ava Wildfong . Sister of Bill & Jean Laprise, Shirley & Ray Shepherd, Elaine & Cec Lumley, June & Bob Verbeem and Don & Marjory Laprise. She will be missed by her many nieces & nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Monday, June 8, 2015. The funeral will be celebrated at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
