Community Living Wallaceburg is proud to announce that $20,000 was raised from the agency’s annual Golf Classic on May 29th.

Over 130 golfers participated in this year’s event, which took place at Maple City Country Club in Chatham.

“Although this is our 20th year holding the tournament, the event actually had many firsts,” said Candice Jeffrey, Coordinator of Communications and Fund Development. “This was our first year at the beautiful Maple City course, our first year with a waiting list of golfers and our first time welcoming presenting sponsor NRG Essentials.”

Over 55 businesses and organizations stepped up to sponsor the tournament, one of Community Living Wallaceburg’s major fundraisers.

A key group of 40 volunteers also contributed to the success of the event.

Proceeds from the tournament will enhance the services and supports provided to more than 400 people with intellectual disabilities and their families across Chatham-Kent.
