Rankin Jr. and Borth score doubles at Dresden Raceway

Donnie Rankin Jr and Tyler Borth both scored driving double at Dresden Raceway.

Rankin, who is the owner, trainer and driver of fourth race winner KEEP THE CASH held off OUR NITE OUT and Nick Steward down the lane to seal the win.

The four-year-old CASH HALL mare trotted the mile in 2:04.3 on a sloppy track.

Rankin’s second win of the day was the fifth race while at the controls of SANTANNA MAN.

The four-year-old SANTANNA BLUE CHIP gelding is owned by Robert Watson of Windsor and is trained by Mike Rogers.

SANTANNA MAN paced the mile in 2:01.

Borth’s first winner of the day was in the second race while driving SCHRODINGER. The five-year-old DUKE OF YORK gelding trotted the mile in 2:03.2 for Co-owner and conditioner Brian McGuire of Windsor as well as Gord and Jacquline Lewis of Sarnia.

Borth’s second trip to the winner’s circle was in the sixth race while aboard ABERARDER MAX in 2:01. The five-year old WHOSYURBOY horse is owned by Larry Currie of Sarnia and trained by Doug Currie.

Attendance at Dresden Raceway saw just under 600 people file through the turnstyles and bet a total handle of $14,874.
