Poll: Does Wallaceburg need a new splash pad?

water turtle

After posting a story about Jaycee Park in Wallaceburg last week, we saw a lot of chatter on social media about it.

Read the story here: Constant water flowing at Jaycee Park

Many folks raised the notion of Wallaceburg getting an upgraded splash pad or a brand new one.

What do you think?

  1. We definitely need a new splash pad BUT not located where the turtle is!!!!!!

It should be at Steinhoff Park that way it’s in the center of all of us not way out behind the hospital. Or even at the park on Elgin St. but not way out there , it needs to be closer to town.

    • J.C Park is only a few blocks away from Steinhoff Park both are located in town… Anyways with that being said neither park would be good for a splash pad due to lack of available parking. From what I remember of Wallaceburg Glen Mickel Park is the largest and has the most parking space. Also the park out near the Mt . Pleasant sub division would work as well if not better for space. If Wallaceburg gets a splash pad it won’t matter if it’s not in the center of town, kids will still go and parents will be more then willing to bring there young ones there to cool off and have a bit of a break themselves.
