The International Plowing Match is coming to Chatham-Kent in 2018 and the public is invited to take part in the preparation of the traditional souvenir cookbook that enables residents of the host community to showcase their favourite foods.
The committee preparing the 2018 cookbook for the Chatham-Kent IPM is inviting recipe submissions of all types.
“We are especially interested in recipes featuring foods grown and produced in and around Chatham-Kent,” said committee chair Deb Hawkins.
As a favourite souvenir of any IPM, thousands of cookbooks are sold each year and the proceeds are an important fundraiser that helps ensure the success of the event.
“We welcome all submissions, but because of space limitations and possible similar recipes we cannot guarantee that all will be included,” Hawkins added. “The committee reserves the right to limit the number of recipes published per contributor. The committee’s decision as to which, if any to publish will be final.”
