Update: The severe thunderstorm warning has ended in C-K

Original story: Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Chatham-Kent.

At 2:35 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing heavy rain.

These thunderstorms are tracking along a path from Stoney Point to Tilbury, then to Port Alma. Local rainfall amounts of 50 to 60 mm possible.

Avoid driving through water on roads. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.

The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management recommends that you take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.
