A Dresden sportscaster has been recognized once again for his work in Detroit.
Trevor Thompson, of FOX Sports Detroit, received the Detroit Sports Broadcasters Association’s Ty Tyson Award of Excellence for Sports Broadcasting.
“I am humbled, yet thrilled to have won this year’s Ty Tyson Award and have my name on the same award as broadcasters I truly respect and admire, including Dan Dickerson, George Blaha, Ken Daniels, Mario Impemba and the late, great Ernie Harwell,” Thompson said in a FOX Sports article.
“It doesn’t get much better than that!”
Thompson has been a member of the on-air team since June 2000, and he is a four-time Emmy winner.
He serves as a host and reporter for Pistons, Red Wings and Tigers.
