The entertainment line-up at WAMBO 27 is sure to provide a great soundtrack to Wallaceburg’s biggest annual event.

Bill Wolsing, chair of the Wallaceburg Antique Motor and Boat Outing committee, said some local musicians will be showcased on the Friday evening (August 7.)

“At the Knights of Columbus BBQ dinner there is Jeff Vercauteren and Tim Nishimura will be doing the entertainment,” Wolsing said.

“Friday we have the Sterling Blues Band, a local band from town. They are doing a nice circuit for themselves and I wanted to include them in WAMBO because we are local and we like to support local as much as possible.”

Wolsing said on Saturday during the day Kevin Bulmer will be doing a show.

“Somewhere amongst the downtown core, location is yet to be determined,” he said.

Saturday afternoon will feature “some boys from Sombra” in the Down River Band, and Saturday night is the main act – The Mudmen.

“Don Cherry’s pal Ron MacLean was quoted saying ‘Mudmen! We love em’.’ They do a lot of international gigs as well,” Wolsing said.

“I was fortunate enough to have contacted them and they happened to be coming through this area. I am looking forward to seeing the kilts and the bagpipes. It is going to be fun.”
