A pair of Wallaceburg artists are recovering from injuries, after a two-vehicle crash just outside of town last week.

Mike Wilder is recovering at home, while Raven Kroon is still recovering in hospital.

“As many of you may have heard, Mike and Raven were involved in a serious car accident on July 30,” said Cathy Cogghe, owner of the Wallaceburg Wellness Centre, who is also Mike’s wife and Raven’s good friend. “They both sustained severe injuries that will require long term recovery.”

Cogghe said she is thankful for the outpouring of support from the community since the crash.

“Thank you all for you continued prayers and positive, healing energies,” she wrote in a message on the Wellness Centre website.

Chatham-Kent police officials said the crash occurred at 3:25 p.m. on Thursday on Forhan St. just outside of Wallaceburg.

The incident involved two vehicles, damage was pegged at $15,000 and police said two people sustained injuries.

A 20-year-old Kent Bridge man was charged following the crash.
