Sarnia Police continue to investigate the death of Raynold Fisher, 42 years old of Sarnia.
Mr. Fisher was found in an unconscious state on Wednesday August 5 2015 on the roadway on Vidal Street and Clifford Street around 10:15 p.m.
He subsequently succumbed to his injuries in Victoria Hospital, London where he had been transferred in critical condition.
The Sarnia Police Traffic Branch initially investigated the incident with assistance from the Criminal Investigations Branch.
The Sarnia Police Service received information from the public that turned the focus of the investigation from a traffic fatality to a homicide.
On Saturday, August 8, 2015 members of the Criminal Investigation Division assisted by the Emergency Response Team arrested an adult male for the murder of Mr. Fisher.
Marshall Jay Scott Maness, 41 years old from Sarnia remains in custody charged with First Degree Murder.
