School bus safety event planned

A safety program for students from the Lambton Kent District School Board & St. Clair Catholic District School Board to be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015.

As another school year begins, CLASS and the local school bus operators are preparing parents and first time riders from JK – Grade 1 in understanding the importance of school bus safety by hosting a First Time Rider Orientation Day on Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 10 am – noon at two separate locations simultaneously.

Parents are encouraged to bring their children to the FREE session, where school bus safety trainers will talk to the children about basic school bus safety rules, how to cross the street safely and how to evacuate a bus in case of an emergency.

The young riders will then board a bus and go for a short ride.

The sessions will begin at 10 am and will be approximately one half hour in length.

Sarnia-Lambton Session Location:
