Baby injured during domestic incident in Sarnia

Sarnia Police Service Criminal Branch detectives are investigating a domestic dispute that resulted in injuries to a three month old child.

On August 18, 2015 between 1:00 a.m. and 3:30 am the 35 year old accused was involved in an argument with his 28 year old girlfriend who is the guardian of the infant.

The accused allegedly held a pillow over her face and threatened her.

During the incident a 3 month old child was injured and when uniform officers attended to investigate the child was transported to Bluewater Health.

The child has since been moved to London Health Sciences with non-life threatening injuries.

The accused, who is from Sarnia, is in custody pending a bail hearing and faces charges including assault causing bodily harm, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and utter threats to cause death.
