Samuel Charles Wallace age 78 of R.R. 5 Dresden passed away Saturday September 5, 2015 at CKHA Public General Campus. He was born May 26, 1937 in Chatham son of the late Samuel and Ila (Hart) Wallace. Sam was a school custodian for the Lambton-Kent District School Board for 20 years and previously worked at National Hardware in Dresden for 27 years. He was an Associate Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 113 Dresden and a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church Dresden.
Samuel is survived by his wife Emily (Kubena) Wallace; son Dan and Jennifer Wallace of R.R. 3 Dresden; four grandchildren: Alex, Charlotte, Emma and Olivia; brother Bruce Wallace of Dresden; brother-in-law Frank and Nancy Kubena of Ridgeway; niece Susan and Doug Pearson of Kinmount and nephew David and Lanét Kubena of Williamsville, NY.
Visitors will be received at the Thomas L. DeBurger Funeral Home, 620 Cross Street, Dresden on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Church, Dresden on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Ray Lawhead as Celebrant. Interment in Dresden Cemetery.
