The Wallaceburg Lakers dropped their first game of the season on Saturday, 3-1 on the road in Mooretown.
The Lakers were led by Trevor Waller who scored the teams only goal, assisted by Cory Lucier and Brett Farr.
Waller scored on a power play five minutes into the first period to take the lead 1-0 for the Lakers.
Laker goalie Derion Ducedre played strong between the pipes taking 47 shots on the game.
The Lakers excelled on penalty killing, not giving up a single goal in eight chances.
Flags player Alec Segers tied the game at 1 in the 3rd period with Parker Gilhuly and Nolan Ryan each adding one to go ahead 3-1 Flags.
Flags goalie Brendon Johnson recorded 24 saves. Flags picked up 12 minutes in penalties.
Lakers picked up 30 penalty minutes.
Wallaceburg’s home opener is Wednesday, September 16 against the Dresden Kings.
