This morning at around 1:00 a.m. Chatham-Kent Police were called and responded to an address on Gregory Drive East, Chatham where the home owner had awaken and found his vehicles had been struck by a motor vehicle.
Upon arrival, police spoke to the driver and suspected that he had consumed alcohol.
He was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where breath tests were conducted.
The test results showed that the driver had more than the legal limit of alcohol in his body.
A 23 year old Walpole Island male was charged with impaired driving and over 80 and was released with a future court date of September 29, 2015.
