Some entertainment and seminars will be available at an upcoming free event at the Dresden Arena.
The Wallaceburg Senior Citizens Club in partnership with the Older Adult Centres’ Association of Ontario (OACAO) is holding a senior fair on Friday, Sept. 18. The event, which is sponsored by the Ontario Seniors’ Secretariat, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Cheryl Burrage, the coordinator at the Wallaceburg Adult Activity Centre, said they will have their own choir – The Silver Threads – in attendance.
“We are really looking forward to it,” she said. “We have a new sound system this year, so I am hoping it’s going to benefit the choir and make them sound even more awesome than they already do.”
Burrage added that there will be Nordic pole walking and they are going to have a demonstration.
“You can actually try it out if you want,” she said.
“We are hoping to have a Bob Ross painting demonstration. It should be a great show that is really for everyone to come out and enjoy.”
