As previously reported, shortly after 9:00 a.m. yesterday morning, emergency crews responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Countryview Line between Centre Side Road and Lindsay Road.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the woman was driving her Hyundai Santa Fe eastbound on Countryview Line, when she left the roadway, struck a tree and came to rest in a ditch.
The woman has been identified as Stephanie Hardy, 33 years, of Chandler Street in Dresden.
Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service offer their deepest condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Hardy.
The collision remains under investigation.
