According to Elections Canada, about 2.4 million Canadians voted in the first three days this past weekend in advance polls.
This represents a 16 per cent increase compared to the 2011 federal election.
Elections Canada says 850,000 voters cast ballots on Friday, 780,000 people on Saturday and 767,000 on Sunday.
Monday was the final day in advance voting.
