Johnston,webDr. Curtis Perry Johnston D.D.S., a resident of Chatham passed away on Monday October 26, 2015. Born 61 years ago and raised in Dresden to the late R.S. (Bill) & Norma (Sharpe) Johnston. Beloved husband for 34 years to Jennifer (Stone). Loving father of Darren (April Roubos) and Mallory. Son-in-law of Anna Stone and the late Harold Stone. Brother-in-law to Greg & Kerry Stone and Randy & Karen Stone. He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews and his grand-dog Doug.

Curtis was fortunate to have many cherished friends with fond memories. Curtis graduated from the University of Toronto Dental School in 1977, interned at St. Michael’s Hospital, and joined Grand West Dental Group in 1979 where he worked alongside wonderful colleagues and staff for 36 years. He will be remembered for his love of golf and fishing. He was an avid member of Maple City Country Club for 36 years. He enjoyed many years of hockey with his Oungah team, spectating with Jennifer at their children’s hockey games for two decades, and as a family they were relentless Maple Leaf Fans with a side of Red Wings.

Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Thursday October 29, 2015 from 2:00-5:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m.

Friends are also invited to join the family for a Celebration of Life on Friday from 12:00-4:00 p.m. at the Maple City Country Club, 10845 River Line, Chatham. All are welcome. Please come and share memories of Curtis.

Donations in memory of Curtis to the Friends of the New Animal Shelter (Cheques payable to the Municipality of Chatham-Kent) would be appreciated.
