The Tim Hortons location within the Walmart in Wallaceburg has closed.
A manager at the Wallaceburg Walmart store, who asked us to not use their name, confirmed with the Sydenham Current the location was closed and they have not heard what was going in to replace it.
Calls and emails to Tim Hortons’ corporate office have yet to be returned.
Wallaceburg resident Karel Vitamvas said he was in Walmart around 2 p.m. on Tuesday and noticed the changes on his way out.
“Nothing left… it was just empty,” he said. “The sign had also been removed. I asked the cashier what happened to Tim Hortons and she said that they closed this location. I asked her what was replacing it and she said they don’t know.”
