Update: Pedestrian struck in Dresden

Shortly after 8:30 a.m. this morning, emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision on St. George Street between Queen Street and Main Street in Dresden.

A Chevrolet Malibu was travelling southbound on St. George Street when the driver struck an elderly pedestrian crossing the roadway.

The pedestrian, a 76-year-old Dresden woman sustained life threatening injuries.

She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance where she was stabilized and transferred to London.

The driver, a 64-year-old Chatham Township woman was not injured.

The Chatham-Kent Police Traffic Unit is currently investigating this collision.

  1. I am the daughter of the woman who was struck (she is still in critical condition). I would like to point out to you what the medical staff all told me the day of the accident, that the injuries were serious, but NOT life-threatening. Please correct your article accordingly.
