A trio of rising stars will be gracing the Jeanne Gordon Theatre stage later this month, as the latest concert held by the Wallaceburg and District Council for the Arts takes place.

Luke Nicholson, Ambre McLean, with special guest Alyssa Doherty of Wallaceburg, will be performing on Saturday November 21.

Since a Genie nomination for Best Original Song in 2007 thrust Nicholson into the Canadian music scene, he hasn’t looked back. Nicholson has toured across North America, and Europe – playing along side Hannah Georgas, Kinnie Starr, Aiden Knight, The Balconies and the Sheepdogs.

He has earned wide praise across Canada producing three top 20 singles on CBC Radio 2 (charting for 30 weeks combined), Best New Artist and, Best Pop Single at New Music Fest, as well as being named to CBC’s Top 100 songs of 2013.

A veteran of the Canadian music scene, with her genre defying style and indie approach, McLean has carved her own path along the way. After years of performing with bands Kyn, and Sharon Said, Ambre released her debut solo EP “Just Passing Through” in 2004. Since then Ambre has released three studio albums.

Doherty, 18, is focusing on her acting career and started her own business called Princess Parties. Here is an interview we did with her last year: Wallaceburg teen set for TV debut

Tickets are $25 and are available at CKXS in Wallaceburg, James Street Eatery, McKellers Flowers in Dresden, the Wallaceburg Museum and online at CKTickets.com.
