Section of 402 closed until Thursday

On Tuesday November 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. members of the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) met with the involved stakeholders surrounding the closure of the east bound lanes of the 402 Highway.

It was determined that the 402 Highway east bound between Front Street and Indian Road, City of Sarnia will remain closed until Thursday November 26, 2015.

During this time period the affected overpass will be prepared for restructuring and for the allowance of east bound traffic along the 402 Highway.

Currently, the Emergency Detour Route as described below will remain the same.

Until further notice, the Indian Road overpass will remain closed.

Any inquiries with regard traffic issues within the City of Sarnia can be directed to the Sarnia Police Service.

The driver of the transport truck, an Ontario resident, was not injured during the collision. At this time the driver’s name is being withheld pending the conclusion of the investigation and the possibility of applicable charges.
