The Wallaceburg Lakers star rookie has captured some hardware from the Great Lakes Junior ‘C’ Hockey League.

George Wood was named the November player of the month.

During the month, Wood had seven goals and nine assists in nine games, including six multi-point contests.

Wood is leading the Lakers in scoring this year with 11 goals and 15 assists, good for 26 points in 24 games.

Wallaceburg still couldn’t manage to pull off a win on Wednesday at home.

The Lakeshore Canadians came to town and walked away with a 5-3 win.

Keenan Clarke scored a pair of goals, while Jackson Gray added another in the loss.
