Jose Gustaaf ‘Roger’ VanMeenen, a resident of Wallaceburg, died in Chatham on Friday, December 17, 2015 at the age of 66. Roger is the son of Honore & Antoinette ‘Toni’ (Tack) VanMeenen.
Father of Sean VanMeenen and brother of Étienne. Good friends with David Forgie and the Forgie family, John Bushey and Karen Reimer.
Roger served in communications on submarines with the Royal Canadian Navy and had been an orderly at St. Joseph’s hospital in Chatham and a part time electrician.
Relatives and friends will gather at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-4 PM on Wednesday, December 23. Cremation to follow with interment in Riverview Cemetery at a later date.
