Donation bin set on fire in Wallaceburg

In the morning of December 24, 2015, Chatham-Kent Police and Fire responded to the Salvation Army Thrift Store on Lowe Street in Wallaceburg, in regards to a smoking container.

Police officials say it’s believed that the fire was intentionally started in a clothing donation bin.

Donated goods were damaged by smoke, fire and water, and estimated at $200 value.

At this time there are no suspects in the matter.
