In August, 2015 police were contacted to investigate a possible fraud that occurred over several months in Chatham.
A man noticed that his bank account balance was slowly dwindling away and contacted police with a possible suspect.
Police conducted a thorough investigation and found that over $63,000.00 was stolen from the man’s bank account.
On Saturday, January 2, 2016 police arrested a 33-year-old woman for the following offences:
– Fraud Under $5,000 x5
– Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 x5
– Uttering Forged Document x12
– Fraud Over $5,000 x7
– Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 x7
The Taylor Ave. women was released on a promise to appear with a future court date of January 29, 2016.
